This area is famous for their sandstone. A variety of sandstone peeks exist, and can be crested by hikers on secured trails. Enjoy the magnificent landscape in Dahner Felsenland. Fourty-seven of the rocks are declared and accredited as a natural monument.

The Dahner Felsenland contains German's most brilliant and impressive red sandstone. You can get an idea of how this landscape developed on the geological nature trail, located around rock "Fladensteine" near Bundental.  Cycling and Hiking
